The entrance examination of BEd, BEd(special education) and Post Graduate Professional Diploma (PGPD) courses of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) would be held on October 1, 2011.

Giving this informing, the public Information Officer of UPRTOU Dr Prabhat Chandra Mishra said that the decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the university officials presided over by the UPRTOU vice-chancellor Prof Ashok Kumar Bakshi.

The entrance examination of BEd, BEd (special education) and PGPD would be conducted in nine cities of the state. The examination will be held in Allahabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Noida, Varanasi, Bareilly, Agra and Jhansi. Admit cards for the entrance examination will be dispatched to the candidates by September 15,2011.

The BEd Programme is running at 10 study centres of UPRTOU including Hindu College, Moradabad, RBS College, Agra, VSSD College, Kanpur, TD College, Jaunpur, DDU University, Gorakhpur, Digamber Jain College, Baraut (Bagpat), Degree College, Upardaha, Allahabad, Ch Tulsi Ram Yadava College, Tulsipur, Allahabad, Shyamlal Saraswati College, Shikarpur, Bulandshahr and Shibli National PG College, Azamgarh.

Similarly, The BEd (Special Education) programme runs at nine UPRTOU study centres including Viklang Kendra, Allahabad, UP Institute for Hearing Handicapped, George Town, Allahabad, Israji Devi Shikshan Sansthan, Allahabad, Viklang Punarvas Kendra, Jaunpur, Shikshit Yuva Sewa Samiti, Basti, Chetna (A Society for the Welfare of the Mentally Retarded), Lucknow, Nay Vani School for Hearing Impaired, Varanasi, Integrated Institute for Disabled, Varanasi and Training College for Teachers of the Deaf, Aishbagh, Lucknow
